Turning Point of the American Revolution
Saratoga is home to many national, state and local museums, as well as Saratoga National Historical Park, the “Turning Point of the American Revolution.” Over a century ago, it was our naturally flowing, carbonated waters that first brought visitors here in droves. And then there is the oldest, continually operating horse track in the country, which has been attracting famous and infamous high rollers since the late 1800’s.
The Saratoga Performing Arts Center serves as the summer home of the New York City Ballet, Philadelphia Orchestra, and Live Nation concerts. If architecture’s your thing, dozens of the majestic homes and buildings in the downtown are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and Landmarks. Or, if it’s the beauty of nature that stirs you, there are so many opportunities for fishing, sailing, kayaking, rowing, swimming, boating and hiking mountain trails.
